From Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada, GHOSTOWN formed as a rock band in twenty twenty one. The band includes Eric Rodgerson on guitar and vocals, Jason McNally on bass, and Adam Gaudet on drums. This trio has a history in local music clubs, having played in bands such as Blueshank, Sunnyvale, NOT!, Chris and Eric, Wheelhouse, Blackwater, Relapse, Route two two five, The VLTs, and Winston. This background brings experience to their performances and recordings.
Their music consists of original songs that explore human emotions, addressing themes of hope, love, loss, and lifes various aspects. Jon Matthews at The Sound Mill handles the production of GHOSTOWNs work. Their four-song EP, “Ghost of Saturday Night,” was released in April twenty twenty three, contributing to the Maritime rock scene.
GHOSTOWN draws inspiration from many artists, including Canadian acts like The Killjoys, The Tragically Hip, and Big Wreck, as well as international groups such as Incubus, Green Day, and Blink one eight two. Their covers and original compositions have an energetic style, making their live performances a strong experience that connects with a modern take on ninties rock music.
In twenty twenty three, GHOSTOWN was recognized as one of CBC Music Searchlight top one hundred emerging artists, being the sole representative from Prince Edward Island. The band also had the opportunity to open for Chilliwack and Glass Tiger at Rock the Boat in August twenty twenty three, though Glass Tigers performance was cancelled due to illness.
Currently, GHOSTOWN is working on their full-length album, “Pleasure and Consequences,” planned for release in twenty twenty four. As an Atlantic Canadian rock band, this project will highlight their artistic development and their commitment to making engaging music.
